Located close to Trader Vic’s, the elevated deck at the popular shopping district, Souk Madinat Boardwalk, offers views of the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, and also gives access to Madinat Jumeirah’s abras for visitors to journey through its waterways. The restaurant deck is home to Italian restaurant Trattoria Toscana, authentic Greek restaurant Taverna and newly opened avant-garde American style bar and restaurant Americano. The newly-opened location required a sound system that could cater to the everyday dining experience as well as deliver the power needed for the weekend with DJs and live band performances. 

The open-aired, al-fresco layout meant that the solution would need to be weather resistant and offer an aesthetically pleasing look to coincide with the overall design, of which Procom Middle East was tasked with implementing. The team selected K-array's compact and discreet Domino-KF26 full-range loudspeaker. 14 units were installed in specific locations to offer the best and most even distribution of audio across all 3 outlets. 

The layout of the deck restricted the use of additional subwoofers and therefore the Domino-KF26 was the ideal speaker to offer both the power and punchy low-end needed for this project. Various patch panels were integrated into several locations around the deck to allow flexible input patching into the main system when required. The design included 3 distinct zones, one for each restaurant, along with wireless control via a mobile application for each of their respective managers.
